# Download the Endpoint Agent Installer

## Prerequisites

Access to the Endpoint Agent installer from the ThousandEyes application requires a ThousandEyes user account with the **Download Endpoint Agents** permission for the account group (for example, the built-in **Account Admin** or **Organization Admin** roles).

## Download the Installer

To download the Endpoint Agent:

1. In the ThousandEyes web application, navigate to **Endpoint Experience > Agent Settings**
2. Click the **Add New Endpoint Agent** button.

3. Select the relevant Endpoint Agent radio button:

   * Endpoint Agent
   * Endpoint Agent Pulse

4. Click the **Download** button for the relevant operating system to download the Endpoint Agent installation file.

* **For Windows Users**: A pop-up notification may appear after clicking the download button (depending on the local security settings). Click **Keep** to continue the download process.
* **For Mac OS Users**: A pop-up notification may appear after clicking the download button (depending on the local security settings). Click **Keep** to continue the download process.

5. After downloading the installation file, see [Install the Endpoint Agent](https://docs.thousandeyes.com/product-documentation/global-vantage-points/endpoint-agents/installing/install-the-endpoint-agent) to continue with the installation.

### Shareable Installers Links

It is possible to generate shareable download links for Endpoint Agent users who do not have/need access to the ThousandEyes web application. To create the shareable links:

1. In the ThousandEyes web application, navigate to **Endpoint Experience > Agent Settings**.
2. Click the **Add New Endpoint Agent** or button.
3. Right-click the **Download** link for the relevant operating system and select the **Copy Link Address**.
4. You can now share this address along with the corresponding [Connection String](https://docs.thousandeyes.com/product-documentation/global-vantage-points/endpoint-agents/installing/endpoint-agent-installation-reference#connection-string).

Please make sure that the connection string is shared securely to avoid unauthorized access to your account group.

### Customized Installer Links

The method of installation using customized installers has been deprecated and will not be available after \*\*June 20, 2024\*\*. However, the previously downloaded installers can still install the agent.
