# WAN Insights Quick Start

This Quick Start guide shows new WAN Insights customers how to activate and get immediate value from the ThousandEyes WAN Insights product. There are two main workflows:

* **Recommendation workflow** for making strategic decisions and selecting the path most likely to provide better quality. For example, you could focus on ISP performance, or proactively reduce the chance of your users experiencing poor quality.
* **Troubleshooting workflow** for reacting to user-reported application issues, which could be a daily occurrence. In this scenario, there is already a specific site or application that is causing problems for end users. The primary goal is to figure out the issue, and establish if it’s caused by the network or something else. You can also quickly identify low-quality sites even before users start complaining.

The following pages constitute a getting-started guided tour of WAN Insights.
