# Recommendation Cards, Explained

Site recommendation cards appear on the **Recommendations** screen.

A WAN Insights site-level recommendation card shows the following:

* Application identifier, for example Voice or Office 365.
* Suggested path to use and expected quality improvement
* Path you’re currently using and its quality
* Capacity check shows whether this recommendation took available bandwidth into account
* How long ago the recommendation was generated
* Site identifier showing country and city
* Number of impacted users

On the current path quality shown on the recommendation card: This is the path quality that we are predicting that users will experience in the future, if you keep the current path configuration the same, and choose not to apply the recommendation.

Click on a recommendation card in the **WAN Insights > Recommendations** summary screen to see the [Recommendation Details Modal](https://docs.thousandeyes.com/product-documentation/wan-insights/user-interface/recommendations-details-modal).

## Capacity on the Recommendation Card

WAN Insights considers available bandwidth when generating recommendations for path changes. If bandwidth information is not available, the user is guided to enter it as described on [Enter or Upload Bandwidth Data](https://docs.thousandeyes.com/product-documentation/wan-insights/user-interface/enter-bandwidth).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.thousandeyes.com/product-documentation/wan-insights/user-interface/recommendation-cards.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
