# Supported Cisco Routing Platforms

ThousandEyes supports installing Enterprise Agents on the supported Cisco routing platforms listed in the tables below. Review the relevant table for your routing device to identify the minimum system requirements and any additional installation prerequisites, as well as the available installation methods.

## Installation Methods

### Application Hosting

Cisco Application Hosting runs the Enterprise Agent in a container on the router. The Cisco IOS XE application-hosting framework manages virtualized and container applications, including their deployment, lifecycle, and resource allocation, while keeping applications in a separate execution environment from the router's core operating system.

ThousandEyes supports Application Hosting deployments on routers operating in IOS XE mode or SD-WAN mode, where supported by the platform. For a general overview, see Cisco's [IOS XE overview](https://developer.cisco.com/iosxe/).

### Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Manager

Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Manager is the centralized management system for configuring and managing Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN edge devices. Use this installation method when the router is running in SD-WAN mode and is managed by Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Manager. Add the router to the SD-WAN Manager inventory before deploying an Enterprise Agent.
