# Alert Notifications via SMS

{% hint style="warning" %}
Due to \[recent policy changes]\(<https://sendgrid.com/en-us/blog/email-to-sms-gateways-july-2024>) by the ThousandEyes SMS notification provider, SendGrid, they no longer support relaying messages to email-to-txt addresses. This change affects any customers who use this method for alert notifications.

To ensure uninterrupted alert delivery, we recommend you explore [alternative notification channels](https://docs.thousandeyes.com/product-documentation/alerts/alert-notifications) while our work on finding new options to support SMS notifications is pending research and development.
