# Real User Tests

{% hint style="warning" %}
Please install and enable the Browser Extension on your Endpoint Agent to run Real User Tests successfully. This step is essential to capture accurate in-browser and network performance data during user sessions. Ensure the extension is active in your browser to allow the Endpoint Agent to monitor and report real user experience metrics effectively.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
Real user tests are not available in the ThousandEyes for Government instance.
{% endhint %}

This article includes instructions for creating, modifying, and deleting *real user tests*, as well as reference information for the various configurable settings.

Real user tests get automatically deployed when the user visits a website in the monitored domain set.

A *monitored domain set* consists of domains that you want to gather end-user performance metrics about. The best practice is to use business-relevant domains for tools and sites that your end users access.

## Add a Monitored Domain Set

To add a monitored domain set:

1. Navigate to the **Endpoint Experience > Test Settings > Real User Tests** tab.
2. Click the **Add New Monitored Domain Set** button.
3. Configure the basic settings for the session. See the table below for summaries of each option.
4. Click **Add New Monitored Domain Set** at the bottom to save the domain, or click **Cancel** to discard the changes.
