Results Overview
Viewing the Results Table
Your results table is the primary interface for comparing providers. It displays performance data organized by user location and displays overall scores according to your specified metric priorities and calculation mode.

Your results table includes the following columns by default:
Overall Score
Positions providers in descending order based on weighted overall score (0–100.00) for this location and these query parameters.
Provider
Provider name and Autonomous System Number (ASN), for example, "Verizon AS 701".
Application(s)
List of applications for this provider network. Displays test availability (black: yes, gray: no), depending on destination view.
Cloud Region(s) (when selected)
List of cloud regions for this provider network. Displays test availability (black: yes, gray: no), depending on destination view.
Latency
In summary views, shows latency performance score and stability score. In single-destination views, shows latency measurement value (ms), stability score, and trend.
Loss
In summary views, shows packet loss performance score and stability score. In single-destination views, shows packet loss measurement value (%), stability score, and trend.
Jitter
In summary views, shows jitter performance score and stability score. In single-destination views, shows jitter measurement value (ms), stability score, and trend.
TTFB (when applications are visible)
In summary views, shows TTFB performance score and stability score. In single-destination views, shows TTFB measurement value (ms), stability score, and trend.
Outages
Count of provider outages detected over the selected time frame.
Total Unique AS Paths
Count of distinct AS paths from source to destination over the selected time frame.
You can add additional metric columns to the table if you have selected any applications as destinations. See Application Metrics for the list of additional metrics and Configuring Visible Columns about how to add them to your table.
Understanding the Results Table
Overall Score
Provider Intelligence calculates an overall score (0–100.00) for every provider available in each of your selected locations. The score is a weighted combination of individual metric scores based on your prioritized metrics and your selected results calculation mode.
The providers then appear in descending order on the results table.
Metric Scores vs. Measurements
Depending on which destination view you've selected, metric columns display either:
Scores (0–100): Used in Summary View and Universal Application Summary views when comparing across multiple destinations. Comprise performance scores and stability scores. Higher is better.
Raw Measurements: Used in single-destination views (for example, 12.5 ms for latency, 0.02 % for loss). Lower is better, except for throughput; see Prioritize Metrics to understand how to interpret each raw metric.
See also Understanding Scores for an explanation of the different scores we calculate and why we use them.
Trends are calculated separately for each percentile and might change when you adjust your Summary Statistics or time frame. See Trend Analysis for more details.
Table Configuration Options

Filtering by Location

If your query includes multiple locations, use the User Locations scrollbar to the left of the table to filter on a specific location. A separate results table is displayed for each location. The “0/n” counter under each location name displays how many providers out of the total available you’ve selected in each location.
Filtering by Provider

Use the Providers dropdown above the table to filter only by providers you want to compare. The User Locations column updates its “0/n” counters to show which locations have tests running through those provider networks. Use this to quickly determine how specific providers score across multiple locations.
Filtering by Destination

When you select multiple destinations in your query, the results table defaults to either the Summary View, displaying scores for each metric calculated for your chosen destinations, or the Universal Application Summary view, which shows scores for all applications with coverage from each provider at that location.
You can also switch to a single-destination view, which shows you the raw metrics for each provider at that destination.
To better understand what each view displays and when, see Destination Views.
Changing the Summary Statistic

The Summary Statistics selector allows you to choose which statistical calculation to apply to your results data, such as 95th or 50th percentile. Results default to ThousandEyes Recommended, which is a predetermined percentile applied to each metric and chosen for its industry standard performance gauge, but you can choose to view averages or a certain percentile across all metrics.
See Summary Statistics for a detailed explanation of when and why to view different percentile statistics.
Configuring Visible Columns
Customize which columns appear in your table and where:
Click the cog icon (⚙️) above the table.
Check or uncheck metrics and reorder them to suit your needs.
Click Save to update the table columns.
Note: Changing a query parameter or table configuration resets the visible columns to the default set and order.
Interpreting Trend Indicators
In single-destination views, the trend line shows whether each metric’s measurement is improving, worsening, or staying flat:
Up (↑): Except for throughput, when raw metric values increase, that is a sign of worsening performance.
Down (↓): When raw metric values decrease, that is a sign of improving performance (with the exception of throughput).
Flat (→): Metric values are stable.

Generating Reports
You can save your results analysis and provider “top picks” by generating a report that captures it for future reference.
To generate a report:
Check the box to the left of each provider you want to include in a report (up to 5 per location).
Click Generate Report when ready.
See Generate Reports for detailed information.
Viewing Time Series
Drill down into hourly data on any provider network for almost every metric to understand fine-grain patterns and analyze root causes.
To view a time series:
Filter results by a single destination (either cloud region or application).
Check the box to the left of each provider you want to view a time series for (up to 5 per location).
Click View Time Series when ready.
See Analyze Time Series for detailed information.
