# ThousandEyes and Cisco Cloud Control

The ThousandEyes integration with Cisco Cloud Control allows you to access the ThousandEyes platform directly from the Cisco Cloud Control interface. This provides you with a unified navigation experience, enabling you to move between the ThousandEyes platform and other Cisco products without losing context or requiring separate logins.

This article provides an overview of the integration and the opt-in process.

## Definitions

* **Cisco Cloud Control**: A centralized management platform for Cisco products. For more information, see the [Cisco Cloud Control Documentation](https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/ai/cisco-cloud-control/collections/cisco-cloud-control-documentation.html).
* **Cisco Unified Identity (CUI)**: The authentication mechanism used to access Cisco Cloud Control. For more information on configuring CUI, see [Configure SSO with Cisco Account](https://docs.thousandeyes.com/product-documentation/user-management/authentication/configure-sso-with-cisco-account).

## Use Cases

When managing multiple Cisco products, navigating between different dashboards can disrupt troubleshooting and operational workflows. The Cisco Cloud Control integration embeds the ThousandEyes platform into the Cisco Cloud Control experience. This allows you to access ThousandEyes assurance data alongside other Cisco networking, security, and collaboration tools using a common header and navigation menu.

## Supported Features

* **Header and Navigation Integration**: You can access the ThousandEyes platform from the Cisco Cloud Control header and navigation menu. You can also pin the ThousandEyes option to your header for quick access.
* **Full ThousandEyes Navigation**: When you open the ThousandEyes platform within Cisco Cloud Control, the complete ThousandEyes navigation menu is available.
* **User Context Handover**: Your user identity is securely transferred from Cisco Cloud Control to the ThousandEyes platform.

## Enable the Integration

### Prerequisites

* Your ThousandEyes organization must be configured to use **Cisco Unified Identity (CUI)** for authentication.
* You must have the appropriate **Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)** permissions to view the ThousandEyes integration within the Cisco Cloud Control navigation menu.

### Setup Instructions

The integration is currently available in a Controlled Availability phase. It is only accessible if you log in to the ThousandEyes platform via **cloud.cisco.com**.
