Install the Endpoint Agent Browser Extension on Windows
If you are using Endpoint Agent Pulse, you can skip this section. Installing the extension from the installer might conflict with existing Group Policy settings.
This section assumes you have installed the Endpoint Agent on Windows, but have not installed the browser extensions.
The following sections explain how to install browser extensions interactively on Windows. For silent installation via command line, see Endpoint Agent Installation Reference for Windows. For Group Policy deployment, see Install Browser Extensions for Windows via Group Policy.
Google Chrome Extension
The ThousandEyes Endpoint Agent browser extension is not discoverable from the Google Chrome store. Use the link in step one to access it (unless Google Chrome automatically directs you there).
Installing the browser extension requires access to the Google Web Store. If access to the store is blocked, approve the following URL:

If you deploy Endpoint Agents using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM), ThousandEyes recommends deploying the Google Chrome browser extension from Google Workspace. See Google's documentation.
To install the Google Chrome extension:
Optional: If Google Chrome was installed after the Endpoint Agent, navigate to the Chrome Web Store page; otherwise, skip to step two.
Click Add to Chrome.
Review the security dialog and click Add extension.
After the notification bubble appears in the top right of the browser window, restart the browser.

During installation, you might see the pop-up above. This is controlled by Chrome Extension Management. You can suppress it only if the plugin is enabled via Group Policy.
If you enable the plugin as part of the installation, users must select Enable the Extension on this screen.
Internet Explorer 11+
The Internet Explorer 11+ extension supports users running Internet Explorer mode in Microsoft Edge. To install the Internet Explorer browser extension:
Open Internet Explorer. On the first launch after the Endpoint Agent is installed, a prompt window appears to enable the extension.
Click Enable in the banner at the bottom of the page.
Note: If the prompt is not visible, navigate to Settings -> Manage Add-Ons, right-click Start/Stop Recording with Endpoint Agent, and click Enable.
Microsoft Edge
To install the Microsoft Edge browser extension:
Open Microsoft Edge. On first launch after the Endpoint Agent is installed, the Microsoft Edge extension store page opens.
Click Get.
Click Add extension.
Once installed, the ThousandEyes icon appears in the toolbar.
